Get rid of guest*1!

can somebody, anybody, please ban guest*1?
twice in a row, i had at least 5 times as much space as him, but he lagged miles out of the arena, then when it caught up, he carried back from where he left, meaning he took 10 times longer to fill up the space than he should've done.

somebody, please, just let us be rid of him.

everybody else will (and please feel free to) agree with me.

I dont think people can ban guests and this guest sounds very immature

he's not actually a guest. his names just 'guest*1'
and i think you can ban his IP adress to stop him coming back as an actual guest... most other websites allow you to.

Or... Everyone else can just agree to gang up on him from now on. It'll be like a de facto 3 vs 1 team game. So, are we in agreement? That's what I thought. Everyone VS guest1!!!!!!!!!

not a bad idea, but he just lags in the way. i dont know how but it's like he turns it on and off. if he didn't want you to, you'd struggle to win. unless you got some proper pros in there. but he'd just keep lagging.

i'd rather have his IP banned.

can a mod (or whatever they have here) please either get him out of here, or at least respond to this?

You can't ban someone because they have laggy internet. Some people have quicker internet than others.

that's not the point. a lot of people lag and i dont blame them for that. the point is, he uses it to cheat. he makes himself lag, so that he takes a lot longer to die than anyone else. he can do this at will, meaning 99% of the time he will win.

i believe this is unfair.

How does he "make" himself lag anyway? Maybe he can't help it, and he doesn't realize this is happening. Take it from his point of view, he doesn't know what's happening, and lots of people suddenly have a go at him for something he can't help. This may not be the case, but have you thought about what he might think?

i've spoken to him. he's confessed (several times, with several witnesses) that he does it on purpose. i dont know how he makes himself do it, but he does. he doesn't use it all the time as he's a decent player and can beat most others here, but if he's playing someone better than him (see the top 20 on the weighted rank. pretty much any of those) he will cheat to win.

lightbeam (probably the most respected player here) will agree with me. so will plenty of others.

I've seen him do it. But you know, if you ban his IP address, he'll just go to the library and come back as Guest*2 or something.

yeah that guest 1 is a fag he has like no friends on this site? why is he spending all his time here? he better has more interesting things to do...?

Sounds like this person has a lag switch.
That or a program to slow their connection down.

thanks for agreeing with me guys, but it seems nothing can be done. even if i managed to get a video of him cheating, i doubt it'd persuade them to ban him. oh well. at least i tried, right? =]

Well, if all of this is correct, the best thing to do should have been to report him(not start a big, harassing, thread). If you all report him with decent evidence something may be done to help...

Yeah the cheat happens. Mefuzzy, Uniluso, TRONGOD, hbala, and titanthrop all agree on that. He did it to me two times, and I'm very certain that he does it by will, because it only happens at situations where he is filling his smaller box and needs extra time than his opponent. That's why I chose to not play with him anymore. Mefuzzy might do something about it though. I advise all good players to stop playing against him specially those in the top ranks. He doesn't deserve to play with good players like us. Let him just defeat noobs easily and without any challenge.

Yes, I know of the infamous guest*1 as well -_-; I'm surprised he hasn't come to the thread to retaliate against the complaints or call himself 'king' heh. I despise the way he can just rob us of rank like that, completely unfair no matter how you look at it.

On the other hand it feels kinda like a challenge if you think about it Ell. If you can beat the lagger you get a prize or something like that. Maybe double the points? Put a bounty on him, that might be interesting.

Joking aside though, I'm still going to play against him if he wanders into my room. My rank 6 title wont be taken away without a fight ;)

Mefuzzy already did something to disconnect some of laggers. So I think disconnecting guest*1 is possible.

I hope so.
